“When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen and Claire mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event.” More on IMDB

Cast:
Chris Pratt – best known as Star-Lord in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and Andy in “Parks and Recreation”. I first saw him on “Everwood” (2002-2006).

Bryce Dallas Howard – still referred to as Ron Howard’s daughter but is making a name for herself. The mean vampire in “Twilight: Eclipse” and Hilly in “The Help”.

Rafe Spall – Hasn’t been in many movies/TV I have seen. He was in all three movies of Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright’s “Cornetto Trilogy”.

Justice Smith – As on 7/23/2018, he only has 9 credits. He played the friend in “Paper Towns”

Daniella Pineda – Played the feisty Sophie Deveraux in both “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.”

James Cromwell – He has been in everything! Just in the past 20 years, he has been in “The Green Mile”, “American Horror Story”, “24”, “Spider Man 3”, “Six Feet Under”, “The Longest Yard (2005)”, “I, Robert”, “The Sum of All Fears”, “Space Cowboys”, “The General’s Daughter”, “Babe: Pig in the City”, etc. He is a terrific “That Guy”.

Toby Jones – described on IMDB, “Widely regarded as the one of greatest stage and screen actors both in his native Great Britain and internationally”. Seen in “Wayward Pines”, “Captain America” movies, “The Hunger Games” series, “Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy”, and my favorite roll of his is, of course, Dobby, in “Harry Potter”.

Ted Levine – “The Alienist” and was fabulous as Captain Leland Stottlemeyer in “Monk”.

Jeff Goldblum – is an actor that is generally loved or hated. I liked him in most things but don’t think he’s the best actor. – Has been in “Independence Day: Resurgence (2016) and Independence Day” (1996), “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997) and the original “Jurassic Park” (1993), “Earth Girls Are Easy”, and “The Fly”.

BD Wong – Best known as Dr. George Huang in 230 episodes of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Also was in “Awake”, “Oz”, and in the original “Jurassic Park” (1993).

Geraldine Chaplin – Is the daughter of Charles Chaplin (A.K.A. Charlie Chaplin) and granddaughter of playwright Eugene O’Neill. Her 154 credits appear to be mostly foreign language films. She speaks Spanish and French.

Isabella Sermon – This movie is her first and only credit listed on IMDB. She was excellent in her first role.

My 200 word review:

I enjoy the entire Jurassic franchise. That being said, this movie was predictable but enjoyable. There was one twist revealed toward the end of the movie but the movie was predictable. SPOILER ALERT!! You knew the villain was going to be killed by a T-Rex and that Blue, the dinosaur raised by Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) in “Jurassic World” (2015), was going to save the humans from being eaten by a dinosaur at some point in the movie. Unfortunately, Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum ) is not a major character in this installment. Malcolm’s snarkiness from the original “Jurassic Park” (1993) and “”The Lost World: Jurassic Park” (1997)” was sorely missed.

There is a BRIEF scene after the credits. You do not need to stay and watch it. It merely shows there will be another movie and hint where it will be set. SPOILER ALERT!! The franchise is changing up the humans-invading-dinosaur-island plot. The scene shows Pteranodons flying around an Eiffel Tower which makes you think it’s Paris. However, as the camera zooms out, it is clear the setting will be Las Vegas. Didn’t we already see a Jurassic Park in a dinosaur is loose in America? Isn’t that the plot of “The Lost World”?
